Levels of Care
One program. Two levels of care. Continuous support.
Whether you need intensive daytime support or a step-down from PHP, our eating disorder treatment program in Atlanta meets you where you are:
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) — Full-day treatment, 5 days per week. Combines individual therapy, group therapy, meal support, and nutrition counseling in a structured environment while you continue to live at home or in our supportive housing.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) — 3-4 days per week, allowing you to return to work, school, or family responsibilities while continuing treatment. Ideal as a step-down from PHP or as an entry point for women whose symptoms don’t require full-day support.
Why Choose Revelare for Eating Disorder Treatment
Most eating disorder programs stop at meal plans. We go further.
At Revelare Recovery, we believe eating disorders are not just about food — they’re about what’s underneath. Restriction, bingeing, purging, and compulsive exercise are often coping strategies shaped by trauma, perfectionism, anxiety, or unmet emotional needs. Our integrative eating disorder treatment program is designed to address both the symptoms and the root causes that sustain them.
What makes our Atlanta eating disorder program different:
- Trauma-informed, not weight-focused. We treat the whole person, not the number on the scale.
- Nutrition counseling is core, not optional. Every client works directly with a registered dietitian who specializes in eating disorders.
- Women’s-only environment. A gender-specific space where women can speak honestly about body image, sexuality, trauma, and shame without the dynamics of mixed-gender treatment.
- Integrated mental health care. Most women with eating disorders also struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or substance use. We treat all of it under one clinical model.
- Affirming, inclusive care. LGBTQ+ women are welcomed and supported here.
Therapies Used in Our Eating Disorder Program
Your treatment plan is built around you. Most women in our eating disorder program participate in a combination of:
- CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) — the gold-standard evidence-based therapy for eating disorders
- DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) — for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and reducing binge-purge cycles
- EMDR — for trauma that often underlies disordered eating
- Somatic Therapy — for reconnecting with body sensations and rebuilding trust in the body
- ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) — for building values-based recovery
- IFS (Internal Family Systems) — for working with the parts of self that drive disordered behaviors
- Nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian
- Meal support and supervised meals — because exposure work happens in real life, not just in session
About Revelare Recovery
Revelare Recovery is Atlanta’s premier women’s treatment center for eating disorders, mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and the trauma that often lies beneath them. We understand that symptoms can appear differently for every woman — restricting or bingeing, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, shutdown, or turning to substances for relief. These are not failures; they are coping strategies shaped by lived experiences, stress, and unresolved trauma.
What makes Revelare Recovery unique is our ability to treat these conditions individually or together, depending on what each woman needs. Whether you’re seeking support for an eating disorder, a mental health challenge, substance use, or all three, our integrated clinical model allows us to address the full picture without forcing you into fragmented or siloed care.
Our trauma-informed PHP and IOP programs blend evidence-based therapies with compassionate, whole-person healing. Through individualized psychotherapy, nutrition counseling, experiential modalities, and approaches like DBT, RO-DBT, EMDR, and somatic work, we help women understand their patterns, calm their nervous systems, and rebuild a sense of safety and trust within themselves.
At Revelare Recovery, healing is not about managing symptoms; it’s about uncovering the root, restoring stability, and empowering women to reclaim the fullness of their lives.
Signs You or a Loved One May Need Eating Disorder Treatment
Many women struggle in silence for years before reaching out. You may benefit from eating disorder treatment if you:
- Eat in secret, hide food, or feel shame after eating
- Have lost or gained a significant amount of weight
- Binge and feel unable to stop
- Exercise compulsively, even when injured or exhausted
- Avoid social situations involving food
- Frequently check your body, weigh yourself, or have intense fear of weight gain
- Have co-occurring anxiety, depression, PTSD, or substance use
You’re not “sick enough” to need help. If your relationship with food is causing distress, you deserve support.
Insurance & Cost
We believe cost should not stand between you and treatment. Our admissions team:
- Verifies your insurance benefits within 24 hours
- Works with most major Georgia insurance providers
- Discusses payment plans and out-of-pocket options when needed
